Andrew a local boy of Berinton. He was in his tee
ns as usual, stayin late out with his pals and spending every penny he had. His dad own a local cafe in the city. And andrew was forcefully put in the cafe to work, and was paid like the rest. He hated that and used to run away with his friends in the streets. They would hurdle around and tease every girl that came across the pavement. Every day he used to get scolding from his father and was given a punishment. Everyone used to say that he was a bit cold hearted as he lost his mother at the age of five. It was the early summer sunday holiday, as the workers in the cafe were on leave, so his father ordered him to buy stuffs from the market. Instead he hurdled up with his frens and started to tease girls of their locality.Just then a taxi stopped near by them, and a girl came out with her luggage. She was May, who had just came to Beriham as her dad got transferred due to his job. All of Andrews friends started staring at her. Andrew pushed them back and said this ones mine and he told his frens to rob away her bag and run away. They quickly ran towards her and grabbed her bag and tried to snatch it. Andrew entered the stage and said "Hey you take your hands off, or face consequence" , but to their upmost supprise they only got kicks and punches not from Andrew but from May as she was a black belt in judo. Just then her local relative came in and saw the incident. She knew in a moment that it was all Anderw and his frens making. On seeing her everyone ran away. She was May's aunt Anna. She explained May every detail about their character and went home.
As andrew was running off he was caught by his father with a angry look as he had not done what his father had asked him to do. He was draged to the shop with his ear. Probabl y it was not his best day but the worst was yet to come. Later that afternoon as he was in his shop May came in to have something. On seeing her Andrews color had all dropped off. He was precisely trying to hide away. But he was forced to take the order. He went near them hiding his face with the menu. As he could not see a thing forward him he hit against a chair and fell down. Just then May saw his face.(in amagement and shock) She says " You , how dare you even come in front of me. You just wait , where is the police. police!!! police!!!" . Andrew in desperation closes her mouth . Just then his father arives at the scene and asks her what seemed to be the problem. She let herself free and tells the whole story and scares Andrew that she will call the police. Seeing the condition Andrews father tells her not to call the police instead he will punish him(there is strange fear in andrews face). And also offers her a free meal as for his mistake. Seeing his father plead for a long time , she agrees. Late after the shop closed andrew got his punishment that i think he would never forget.
Next day he goes to school with a groaning sad face. Even as the teacher was explaning he was busy with his nap. Just then the principal comes in and comes May. May and Andrew see each other ( shocked, angry at the same time). Andrew says " not again , even this day has got worse". Just then she gives her introduction and takes her seat. Andrew was so angry with his punishment the other day that he plans to make her pay for it. Firstly he throws paper rockets at her, she completely remains as if nothing has happened. As andrew was playin his prang, one of the rockets accidently hits the teacher. In no time andrew was in the detention room. Later in the day in the sports class they were playin dodge ball. Andrew thinks it as payback time and challenges her and she accepts it. He acts as if he has already won and throws slowly at her saying " you are just a girl" . Then she picks up the ball, but sees Andrew smiling and not paying attention and throws the ball. unfortunately she had quiet an arm, it hit him right in his face. In seconds he was bleeding and had to spend the whole day in the school hospital.
Later in the afternoon, May arrives at anrews cafe with a small bouque to see if Andrew was alright. She luckly met andrew and says she was sorry for hitting him in his face. Andew could not forget the humiliation of losing to a girl and most of all gettin hit in his face in front of the class. He replies "hey knucklehead as if you care about me( and groans for a long time )". On seeing his rude behaviour she leaves the cafe with a rude face. their days were very cold. May got good grades and awards for her atheletic abilities where as Andrew was totally opposite her, he had poor grades due to which he was punished to death by his father. His miseries never stopped whatever he plotted against her it went against him. On seeing his buddy billies birthday near he plotted his evil plan against her which would mean win-win for him.
So he goes to invite her on billies birthday party, he tells her how sorry he was for his acts and wanted to undo his mistakes. With him sayin sorry a hundred times she couldnot bear it and said that she forgave him and she would come. He told her it was a fancy dress party and told her to be early and parted. Later that afternoon boys planned their ultimate weapon and waited for the bait. Everyone were dancing when she entered dressed as an fairy with her magic wand. Then Andrew greeted her . She asked him what was going on and why he lied. Just then from the upperfloor his friends poured apple juice. Then andrew replies " An apple a day keeps a doctor away(everyone laughs), i guess not in my case" . Then she starts crying and says" How could youll, i hate you" . Then she leaves the building. At that precise moment as she was crying andrew felt no joy in his prang, and realized how hurt she was.
For a couple of days May didnt came to the school , he really wanted to appolozise to her but she didnt appear. So he decided he would go to her home to appolozise. Later that afternoon he went by her house with a bouque and a bunch of chocolates.
(rings the bell)
MAY'S MOM : Hello , who are you loking for?
ANDREW : You must be mays elder sister(He indirectly hits the womens weak spot, her youth/ but never meant it).
MAY'S MOM : (laughs) You are quiet a charmer. No, actually im her mother.
ANDREW : Oh !!im actually Mays classmate, she has not been recently coming in to school so i came to cheek in if she is she alright?
MAY'S MOM : She is fine, but a bit depressed as some boy played a prang on her. Do you happen to know that person, i should complain his gurdain?
ANDREW : Oh really, I think he really didnt meant it . Why dont you call her , please?
MAY'S MOM : Why dont you sit by and ill call her.
ANDREW : That will fine.
( Then she tells her that a fren of her has came to visit her. And she goes to the living room and in her astonishment finds Andrew)
MAY : What are you doing here?
ANDREW : you see.......!!!!....!!(He is jumbled up)
MAY'S MOM : Is that the way to talk to your fren who came all the way to see you
MAY : You dont no mom. Who this guy is??
ANDREW : See May im sorry for that day. Hmm.....haeae.....what i wanted to say is....... this is for you ( He gives her the flower and the chocolates)
MAY : I dont want these, just get out of here!!
ANDREW : Im sorry, im regreting for my act.
MAY : Arent u done enough already. I forgave you once and cant do the mistake same twice . Or you want to put on another prang again??!!!??
ANDREW : You are misunderstanding me!! i mean.........
MAY : For God sake please leave me, please(Pale face and starts crying)
( Then she goes back to her room. Andrew doesnt know what to do and retuns back to his home)
After a few days May starts coming back to school but they too never talk to each other . Most likely both are hurt in this case. As black storms seems to cover up the sky. Andrew seems so lost in his dreams , with heart so cold. He doesnt want to hang up wid his frens he seems so changed.
(Nearly arter two weeks )
Andrews father has to deposit some money in his bank account. Since the bank is far away and he was busy, he tells andrew to deposit the money in the bank. He doesnt want to go but is forced to go. He takes a bus and on the way keeps thinking of May and how he hurt her. And he wants to appolozise to her, and makes his mind that the next time he meets her he will appolozise to her. As he enters the bank , he sees May . He is in doubt of what to do but makes his mind sayin "now or never". And he goes to talk to her but he simply ignores her. As he was precisely trying to plead, a group of men wearing masks enter the bank with guns.They had even captured the guard. On seeing them one of the staff calls the police . In no time they take control of the bank. And fill up their sacks. While in huge mass police surround the building. On seeing the police they quickly fill up the money and takes May as the hostage. On seeing this he doesnt know what to. Then he replies " Ex...queese me missteer. Why dont you take me as the hostage.(robbers groan) Hmm...... I think a single hostage would not be enough, why dont you take me with you?? It will be easy for youll then!!!!" the robbers think for a while and grap him too. May is puzzled and scared at what is happening and keeps thinking why Andrew is actin like an idiot.
The robbers order the police to get out of site and to get two jeeps else they will kill the hostages . The police back out and arrange their request in around twenty minutes. The robbers divide in two group with money in one jeep and hostages in another jeep. And they move too a high way, but the jeep in which May and andrew were lacking behind their companion. On the way may asks why did you get in this mess you idiot , dont you have no brains. You can die in this conditions. As one of the robbers try to manhandle may but she fights back, in which the driver loses control and meets up an accident. Seeing their chance they try to run off but the robbers catch them, but May kicks and punches them. The robbers cant tolerate it and point the gun towards May. In desperation Andrew comes in the way and gets shot in his arm. They cant think of anything else and they make a run. Minutes away were the police following them secretely. One of he police van take andrew to the hospitel others follow the robbers. On the way may asks him.
MAY : Why, why did you? whom am i to you? you have always hated me , then why did you take the shot for me?why???????(Her eyes are filled with tears)
ANDREW : Beca....use becausssse I LOVE YOU
Just then the cold heart of may starts to melt. She doesnt know how to react , whether to smile or cry.
MAY : You stupid , idiot I hate you , I hate you(crying). How could you take the bullet meant for me"
ANDREW : Im sorry May for whatever I have done in the past and I regret it. I never could understand it until I saw ur sad , cold face. That made me sad too, I wanted too change it. I wanted too bring back the smile that shined lik the sunshine. You ...... I LOVE YOU MAY
MAY : You dummy,(A long pause) I LOVE YOU TOO.
ANDREW : You do, what.
They hug each other and both start crying. there is a huge silence for a long time .And the police just laugh at the sight.
MAY : I LOVE YOU
ANDREW : I LOVE YOU TOO
Then they have the kiss. there is tears and joy but in the end love prevails. Even the robbers were arrested. Now even Andrew is good in studies due to mays help but he sucks in sports , still loses to may in dodgeball but they live happily ever after.
